Some interesting results so far. North Shore and Manly stay undefeated, but both were pushed all the way by determined opponents. And St George get up over Wests in a thriller.

Hearing whispers of some controversy at the end of the Manly v Camden div 2 game on the weekend at Weldon.

"Allegedly" with 20 seconds to go and the ball on the way to the Camden full forward by himself in the goalsquare the final siren mysteriously sounded. Apparently the timekeeper had stepped away from his duties for just a tad and the person who sounded the siren didn't realise that other people were keeping the time seperately from the official score keeper and beat a hasty retreat to his car. It is not the first time this has happened between the 2 clubs with whole minutes disappearing off quarters when the scores get close at Weldon.

I know resources are thin on the ground, but if people have concerns about the timekeeping at certain grounds they should get someone to sit with the timekeeper and assist as is perfectly allowable.

Was out at Gore Hill Saturday evening and i am not sure whether there was a glitch with the lighting that was out of the normal, but lighting was definitely not up to scratch, could hardly see anything on other side of the ground when standing near grandstand.Not sure how players view it, having to pick up the ball in those conditions.

Initial photo in Norris Lurkers review shows what lighting started at and it eventually got worse from then on.

EXACTLY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE YOU WOULD THINK THAT YOU WOULD DEFINATELY MAKE SURE SOMEONE WAS KEEPING AN EYE ON IT

This will have to be the norm from now on, but it would be nice to think that in a game of park footy in Sydney, a visiting club would not have to do such things to ensure a game is run fairly. If these "allegations" (which were admitted to on game day) are not properly dealt with it will leave a dark dark stain on the league, not just the Manly club.
