I have been advised by North Shore that they've rescheduled in anticipation of Mortgage Choice Oval being closed overnight.
Div 2 & Under 19s Div 1 are postponed. Campbelltown have forfeited Under 19s Div 2. Premier Division has been moved to Blacktown.

A forfeit prior to a postponement in 19's Div 2. Don't you hate that.

That is a pity. Their coach Rob is doing a really good job of keeping that team together. They have some really good players too. I hope it is just a one week thing.

Even without an apocalyptic weather forecast, it was always going to be a hard ask to get enough Under 19s to put their hand up to go from Campbelltown to Gore Hill for an 8:30am game.

Been there done that last week - when you deal with adults those times are insane however we all have to do the best we can. I put a model forward this year to some of the powers that would have supported a traditional format of seniors ressies etc across 2 divs plus a third div and whilst they saw merit that also indicated that the present divs structure have a few more years to run. I was a big fan of it when it was bought in because it was needed and needed desperately. Its run its race though afaic. If a workable model that allows the seniors ressies 19'd to be kept together every weekend without a return to a system that allows clubs to manipulate the system to their success them lets go. Unfortunately allowing clubs to have firsts through to 6ths makes that pretty hard to come up with workable models. That also was not a snipe at the Students cause keeping that many people on the same page is no mean feat - I wish I could do the same.

Definitely. They only had 16 at home last weekend so would have been tough. Where are all these juniors going? Seems like lots of clubs are struggling. Parra from first to last and a few forfeits. Sutho gone, moorebank/wests merge and then struggle for numbers most weeks.

What can you do to get them to a senior club then keep them there?

Manly forfeited 19/1's last week and only have 15 listed so far for tomorrow

Manly Girls also forfeited this week. The trip to Wollongong (Leading the comp) for a midday game possibly held little appeal despite Manly winning there last 3.
Campbelltown girls also forfeited against Penrith

If the weather wipes the round it would be absurd for the Sydney AFL to enforce the forfeit. There are at least 2 reasons:
                      1. It denies the players an opportunity to play in a rescheduled game
                      2. It punishes any team that forfeits early (thus assisting the opposition to arrange alternate training etc) and rewards teams that forfeit on the day.

Campbelltown 19s and others should be afforded the opportunity of playing if other matches in the competition are rescheduled due to weather.

Games are going ahead as we speak so cant see how they will abandon the round

Penrith have offered to allow Town to unforfeit. League said it should be OK

Camden did it last week in 19's Div 1. Put up a good fight too only going down by 50-60 from memory to first place Norths.

Was talking to ex Parra 19's mentor over the weekend and was told Camden 19's got up this weekend against Syd Uni with 2 out playing NEAFL and two other top players injured but back next round.
