A lot of the ins are Under 19s coming up from the junior clubs, particularly at North Shore & St George. And UTS's are all over the place because the Shamrocks womens team are being moved into the Bats club - but UTS look like they've been busy on the recruitment front.

Martin Pike and Bradley Hill are useful 'ins' to Sydney AFL

Surely Wests are going to struggle this year? Have now lost more players including their ruckman and were already down on talent.

Yep more scholarships to try grab talent of other clubs who have done the hard work.

I’m sure North Shore will remember this and always remember when you poke a bear....

Poke the bear..... Ha. What is wrong with UTS doing what Sydney Uni and UNSW have done for years - IMO nothing.
I don't think UTS have ever made finals, so whats wrong with them doing what they can to recruit players. Dont we all want an even comp - not a comp dominated by a few. Also what bullsxxt about clubs doing "hard work" with talented football. If you are talented you make it - that simple. Some club benefit significantly by geography and demographics- not hard work.

They’ll battle it out with St George for the spoon.

It seems that the pointy heads in at GHQ are asleep at the wheel....

No fixture yet, even though the season due to start in a couple of weeks.
And the website is highlighting an AFL practice match from over a week ago.

                      Wakey, wakey !

Cone back Norris - we need you !

Wandered down to Gore Hill on Saturday for the grand opening ceremony.
You'd never recognise it. It's been swung around 45 degrees, and the brick-pit at the northern end is gone (And won't be missed). The clubhouse is fairly basic, we'll have to wait for the council to get some more cash before they build the Taj Mahal.
The synthetic surface is different. But previously Gore Hill was the worst surface in Sydney, now it's among the best. North Shore played intra-club trials on Sunday, I didn't hear of any injuries caused by the surface.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out, but I think it's a change for the better. At least it won't get closed when it rains.

Good to hear from you Norris....life is getting back to normal for me now.
Is Gore Hill still to be the backup heliport for the hospital ?
And will you still have social facilities there - TVs, chairs and tables, balcony ? Million dollar hi-tech scoreboard ?

I'm sure the powers that be at North Shore are working on it. A match-day experience like no other.
