    Round 1

    This weeks games.

    Pennant Hills Vs North Shore
    Western Suburbs VS Wollongong
    East Coast Eagles VS Balmain
    St George VS UNSW-ES
    Campbeltown BYE

Who are all the ins and outs for each club this week, does anyone know. And who is everyone tipping.

I see East Coast Eagles had a win in both grades against Belconnen Magpies. They are going to be hard to beat this year along with Wests.

      Oscar,

And how much do you each of the above shall win by? Pennant Hills must have picked up some amount of new players to knock off North Shore, or has North Shore lost alot of players.

Who has western suburbs all picked up?

Who has east coast picked up?

In lop-sided affairs all round, I reckon:

          North Shore by 5 goals
          Wests by 8 goals
          East Coast by 10 goals
          UNSW-ES by 7 goals

Shearer that is a massive win for ECE if they can win by that much. Obviously there recruits must be guns, and Balmain musnt have much this year. Has Balmain lost alot of players, or just going along with the same form as last year?

I thought Wests would have won by alot more seeing that they have picked up so many players!

I haven't followed the SFL for a number of years but it probably doesn't matter... NS, UNSW, STG, PH to be top four in 2005.

Wollongong coming into the SydneyAFL seems to me like a softening up for a NSW State League. Whilst the SydneyAFL clubs might think it's getter bigger and stronger, really it's just a step closer to having a team in Goulburn- then to the ACT and a State League with less teams in a smaller competition!

The new $20 million dollar 10,000 seat venue at Blacktown when completed will be ready made for NSW State League too! I'm sure the State government and the AFL will want a NSW AFL State League and real use for their investment not 10,000 empty seats from March-Sept.

This site gives you so much more info than the NSWAFL site. There is nothing on there about the Sydney AFL season starting in three days time.

As usual the best info on Sydney footy is through word of mouth (or this site) not the League.

The last article was the practice match schedule from 17th March. Is there any promotion from the NSWAFL or do they still not care!
