What's the reason for Dubbo and Orange playing off at Mudgee? It's a long drive for both clubs - are Mudgee fielding a team this year?

    Thanks for the updates cwaflumpco.

Mudgee do not have a First Grade Side but field Reserve Grade, Under 17's and Under 14's. With the loss of Parkes to the Northern Riverina League First Grade became a four team comp and the other grades five teams. Various draw options were put to the CWAFL by Clubs, and one that provided for some senior games to be played in Mudgee was adopted. This means that each week only two venues are used, prevents a first grade bye when Reserves and Juniors are playing Mudgee, gives the first grade sides heaps of footy (albeit playing the same teams numerous times), and promotes senior football in Mudgee, which will hopefully spark enough interest in the town to get a first grade side up and running in the future. Will post all grades scores when I get them - it becomes a bit clearer how it all works when the entire results are posted.
