I would think you will be reasonably accurate with those B&F predictions BMR. They certainly seem to have been the form players at thier respective clubs.

Any system that finds ex-tiger Jason Clarke is good enough for me.

          That's an interesting one Kev.

I actually didn't notice he wasn't there until you brought it up, but when I checked, he was indeed down at No.68.
Sounds weird, but as I said, the list is based solely on points earned from appearances in the best players, added to votes received in the Phelan Medal.
Laine Spencer only made the best players from Pennant Hills once for the year, scoring nine points, and picked up six Phelan votes, which was worth 18 points, meaning he finished with 27 points for the season under my system - well short of what was required to make the Top 50.
You would have noticed, though, that as the leading goalkicker in the competition, he was an automatic choice at full forward in the Team of the Year, which is named at the start of this thread.
And that, I feel, ranks higher than the Top 50.

PS. Anyone else want to know where someone finished?
          Just ask.

PPS. My AFL All Australian Team and Top 50 will appear on the RWO Chat board soon.

BMR, In reference to your system, I would think some of the clubs would not post the "real" best players. There would be a few reasons for this. Do you think this is a factor?

              Most certainly.
If a player is hidden away by his club he is obviously no chance to score points and as a result make the team or the Top 50.
It is disappointing to see clubs play games like that - and I have even seen it done in Fox Footy telecast matches - how they reckon they'll get away with hiding a bloke from the best on that is beyond me.
I don't think it does anyone any good, but, yeah it does happen and yeah it does affect the list.
Nothing I can do about that though.

PS. Check the General board for my AFL Team of the Year.
Top 50 to come later this week.
