It would be really good to update this list again given this years' signings and all the trade talks we are getting into.
I don't know how to add the links but players with updates to contracts in 2007 are Goodes, Malceski, B2, Davis IIRC.

Donk's new TWO year contact signed at the end of 2006.

Unless the doctors say he's a lost cause (possible) there is no way he'll be delisted.

Depends on the type of contract they had him on. They could pay him out if it wasn't a huge amount otherwise trade him for another ruckman.

The issue is salary cap more than cash. We can hand over $100k easy enough, but we can't sacrifice $100k counted towards our cap on a player who's not even with us. Hence if we decide we're cutting Doyle loose, we'll trade him to the Pahhhhhr for pick 638 and a slab of Coopers provided they agree to pay his Sydney salary. (I presume he's only interested in going to Adelaide, and the Clones already have an embarrassment of ruckmen-- I would love it if we could do a John Meesen-for-Donk straight swap, but it ain't gunna happen.) If the Pahhhhhr won't bite, then look out for another unexpected 'retirement' which of course involves a release from all contractual obligations (followed by Donk coming out of retirement if someone else picks him up).

                  Although if:
                  a) Jolly gets traded (seems likely ATM)
                  b) We don't get a ready-to-play ruckman in return (who knows, but there aren't many around), and
                  c) the Swans hierarchy decide it's not worth persisting with Earl Shaw (seems increasingly certain)
then we have little choice but to let the Donk stick around. And hope his injury-prone body holds together in 2008. Otherwise our ruck stocks will be Spida plus the replacement Currie who's still studying for his HSC.
