Who will be the oldies and moldies?

At the beginning of 2005 my best 22 would probably have included Maxfield, Nicks, Doyle and Schauble but by the end of the season three were retired and one had contributed nothing. Which players will perform this role in 2006? I am predicting:

    Williams
    O'loughlin
    Doyle to go back-to-back

And if it happens, will RWO turn on Willo as quickly as they did Maxfield?

      Prediction

      Oldie: Willo/O'Loughlin

Oldies before his time: Crouch (Mr Burns) - he needs to stay home in his pyjamas with a blanket over his knees and whinge about all the noisy young things out drinking and running amok

      Moldie: Doyle, McVeigh

        To this list, I add:

        Nevergonnabies: Spriggs, Chambers

I assumed the defn of moldie was someone who was a SAD DISAPPOINTMENT to all - promised everything DELIVERED NOTHING!

            Was I wrong?

I was using oldies for the broken down old farts and moldies for the broken down lemons.

                  Very mouldy: Bevo.

Prediction:will get early exposure to see if he can "recapture" his early promise.

By Round 6 will be banished to oblivion.

List is younger than ever without the class of 96, etc (MOL exception)

We had a few years trying to make up for lost time/chance

Now there is a lot of young blood (Willow aside)

Name a top 22 and few will disagree that we haven't got a side that we can relaunch an attack on the flag in a couple of years. Wouldn't expect too much next year, but keen to be wrong.

Think this topic is a little harsh...

MOL will not finish the season, Vogels and Richards will pass him.

Willo will limp through, relying on his class (the sort Maxfield never had) and maybe again in 2007.

Bevo will, as Nico says, disappear.

LRT will be full of confidence, ambition will outstrip ability, and he will fall in an ever to be forgotten heap.

Crouch will have a nervous breakdown.

I'm happy to be associated with Willo - one of the best players Sydney has had!
