    I asked Peter Jonas on Tuesday how they feel the new changes will be interpreted and does this mean that Barry Hall might actually get awarded some free kicks this year.

            Note on Saturday Ablett tried to see how far he could stretch the new rule - grabbed a new ball out of the bin before the ball had gone through for a behind. The umpire made him put it back until the ball had gone through.

                    I was part of a group of teachers doing basic coaching and skill development so we can get the kids to play properly - and Jonas, Bolton and Dempster came to say hi and have a chat to us.

                    They were great.
