Anyway, the Cheer squads don?t sit on level 2 and if I?m at the wrong end I can abuse the Bombers cheer squad from above. I grew up in an Essendon recruiting zone so those clowns are no problem to me. Actually I miss the interaction with opposition fans at home games ? in Melbourne it is part of the fun of going to the footy.
Excellent ORB - great to know you are coming down too - its like an RWO family reunion - Stachmo's making the trip across - now all we need is David M (Go Swannies - no number) and the team will be complete! I think beverages will be required! Assuming that the Dome, like all stadiums sell rubbish wine, might have to give the "2001 Margaret River Ribena" another run We are in Bay 17 Row D - have no idea of what end that is, I will just follow the others aimlessly (but they have to look after me - I am supplying the vehicle!)

Bay 17 is at the Lockett end. Anywhere on level 2 will probably be OK as the expensive seats tend to get better types of supporters. We tried to get level 2 but at that stage none were available. We ended up with Bay 20 on level 1, seats A2-4. So they should be ok. I hate Essendon supporters, but have to admit that last year we had seats on level 1 and the people around us were no problem.I am more upset about round 2. We have full members country memberships so we can go to 5 games up in Sydney and sit in the Noble stand with our friends. My daughter lives interstate and sometimes can get to Sydney for a game. We always bought a guest pass for her so she could sit with us. This year I tried to buy one and after several phone calls I ascertained that at this stage they are not selling ANY guest passes for the members area! The Swans are trying to sort it out with the SCG who are apparently the problem. But it stinks as we can't sit together and my daughter doesn't want to sit by herself in the public area. If she was living in Melbourne or Sydney she would obviously buy a membership.

Better types of Essendon supporters, i.e ones who can afford to sit in Level 2 = Biggest bunch of morons in the football firmament.

Maybe you had trouble Wardy cause its Ticketmaster who are selling the tickets.

I'd better go get mine at lunchtime (Entertainment Centre).

er the SCG games are with Ticketek not Ticketmaster.

Ticketek said that there was still general admission but no members guest passes.

Id say from the GF 2005 team to this game:

                  Out -
                  Kennelly (Injury)
                  Jas Ball (Retired)
Bevan (Injury, not enough practice time)

                  In -
                  Doyle
                  Richards
                  Malceski

Woops, that'll teach me for not reading the thread properly. I just assumed that you were still on topic ie the Essendon game.

I'd put Vogels in - I think he has earnt the chance to show he's worthy of a regular place in the 22.

Stupid question I suspect, but I've never been to a sell-out at the Dome:

I can still get into GA with my Vic Swans membership, can't I? I just won't have a seat. Or do I have to get a GA ticket?

When it's a ticket only affair your seasons/membership ticket won't get you into the gate. Only a ticketmaster booked seat ticket will get you in. At least that's how it worked last year for the Essendon game.

Yes. If need be Dempster (he looked okay IMO in the practice matches) plays the HBF role that Tadhg plays therefore i can't find a spot for Vogels as i think we would be too tall for this match. Donkey takes over from Ball, Superted over from Tadhg who i think will be playing forward and Eski over Bevo as the extra midfielder.

I guess as to who is in and out depends mostly on who can play on Lloyd.

IMHO only Barry and Vogels (possibly Richards and C Bolton) can play on Lloyd.

Don't forget Hille - so we need two talls right near goal (LRT on Lucas).

The other afternoon Frankenstein (Fletcher) was not playing on Hall and Bradley had the job. As we know, Franky has been beaten by Hall a few times. BUT, Bradley is not up to it - he gets 'lost' too easily at this stage of his career.

Richards will almost certainly play - old side etc. Chambers has not impressed - Doyle must be 2nd ruck.

Swans to win - pulling away after 3/4 time by 16 points. BTW Essendon tactics seem to be the ultra flood the other night - be interested to see if this continues.
