Seats for Round 1

After the e-mail from the club we tried to get Level 2 for the game. Sorry, only available to Essendon members at present. Swans members can book from 7 March.
What a farce. How many will be left? And whose idea is this?

To be fair to the Bombers, if a Power fan, say, was trying to buy tickets for the round 2 game in the O'Reilly or Churchill stands, they'd have problems until the week before the game when member-release seats might become available.

Considering the AFL want maximum attendances at games i wonder why the game was not left till later in the season or swapped as a home game to start our season off. If the game was held at the MCG (after the com games) and provided the two teams were going well you would get 60,000 (see '96) easily. Or in sydney at TS you would get 50,000. Problem with having it up there would be if it was the first game they would want it at the SCG to raise the flag. Still the G' later would be a better option i would think
