      I predict that 2006 will be looked back on as "remember the year we had all those stupid rules that we had to change back at the end?"

      Some of the interpretations leading to 50m penalties are just ludicrous.

              I think they should bring in the rule where a mark is not paid if it is kicked backwards.

              I also don't mind the one where the boundary umpires move 10m in to throw the ball in.

                    But I think the best way to stop the opposition kicking backwards is for the other team to man up, if they can't or won't then it's their problem.
