    Next Week

According to the front page of the Swans site (rolling ticker), the Swans will be playing Richmond at Carrara on the 11th and in Newcastle the week later against a team to be named.

Not sure if this is 100%, but can only go by what the club's site says.

What is the point in playing a practice Match between Sydney & Richmond at Carrara?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I would assume it is more for the code than the clubs.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                That would be about right.

Who cares where the game is played really. We have a game in Melbourne to please our Melbourne based fans, a NBA Cup game in Canberra to please our Canberra based fans, the North Sydney Game to please our Sydney based fans, a game in Newcastle to promote the code somewhere in regional NSW other than the riverina and the game on the Gold Coast to promote the code in general.

                    Carrara?

What the hey? Canberra I can understand. Traralgon I understand. In fact, anywhere in regional Vic or NSW I understand.

                    But Carrara?

Didn't you know the Swans have gone broke and have to re-locate to become the Gold Coast Swan Sharks.

Isnt the Gold Coast where you Victorians go to while away your later years as you wait to die?

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

i thought that was carlton and (more recently) the kangaroos?
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Carrara is close to the Wizz and we all know how much he loves attending and taking the opportunity to tell everyone how he is the greatest full forward ever to pull on red and white hot pants and how his career was cut short. If that's not a good reason for a game up there I don't know what is.

Gold Coast for Victorians = Central Coast for Sydneyites.
