    Current Membership Tally?

A few weeks ago I saw a swans Berometer (spelling) on the swans website saying there is 25k swans members signed up.

Its gone & anyone have a updated number?

Should we be aiming for 32k?

It looks to me it's slown down and won't pick up until Swans start winning again. The pre-season impression on Swans doesn't seem too good. This is the period when other clubs try to sell their memberships, but it looks to me that the Swans don't care.

When we renewed our Melb based memberships last week Rebecca said that the current Melb tally was over 7100, which is up from 6500 last year.

That's so not true. They are advetising in the Telegraph everyday (I think, I dont buy it everyday, but the days i have its been in there) and also have radio advertisment. The radio is quite good with Tadhg. This mass media advertisment has a substantial cost, so you can't say they dont care or are not trying.

The Melb Office has approached the MCC, to offer MCC members special Swans membership packages.
I haven't followed it up yet, but will be interested to see what they have to offer.

Not sure if 32k is realistic. I think a cap kicks in somewhere along the line to ensure a certain number of GA seating is available at the SCG and also SCG members.

This is probably a bad year to do this considering the CG. We play a total of two games there.

It would be interesting to see the change in memberships between Rd 1 2005 and 2006. What effect does winning a premiership have on Sydneysiders?

I still haven't got my membership card yet. Look's like I'll be paying at Newcastle on Saturday.

If you ring the Swans they should be able to sort you out without having to pay.
