not 2 good about buchanan & teddy but im sure all will be fine
When your Carlton you are happy to win anything but as premiers we should set our standards a bit higher. Rather lose all practice matches and then beat Essendon Round 1 and then Port Round 2, Carlton Round 3 etc. etc.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

That is tough though - getting the hardest team to beat in Melb 1st up.
Will be surprised if we win.
But overjoyed in the next few weeks when we unfurl thew flag
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler
Any chance we can get news on lesser lights Jared Moore, JRD Mcveigh etc

Not a great hunting ground...
I remember the game your talking about and beside Lewis we lost a player to a broken leg (can't recall who) and as a result stopped playing practice matches there for a few years until we were happy with the state of the ground. Problem with that being in 2004 our first year back there, we lost Malceski to a knee reco and today we gain even more injuries, so yes certainly not a happy hunting ground, injury wise.
Trying to piece together a backline for Round One sounds like its going to be interesting, but I think as long as we have Leo, C-Bolt and LRT to use as a base we should be OK. Seems like with the injuries known our Round One line up is pretty much decided just the decision on who to use out of Doyle and Chambers (or even to use both). All in all a good result and good to finally win again and against those Saints to boot.

Vogels, Dempster and Mathews/Crouch.
We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

Yep. Don't really care about the result - it's a nothing match. Injuries are a bugger!

Dempster is on the last injured list and could be touch and go for the first game. Therefore Malceski on a half back flank might be possible if Dempster doesn't come up. The others are certainties to play in defence anyway.

That's good of them. I don't see what the problem is with pinching match updates from another fan site as long as you acknowledge where it comes from.

Riewoldt was rested with Matt Maguire moving forward

Sounds like we dominated - so no injuries??

Your thinking of the Essendon of 5 years ago. I reckon the Saints are the hardest for us to beat in Melb now.

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
