Okay, this hasn't had a great deal of discussion apart from a general agreement with Kirk's view that Davis cost the team a goal by not following his man through the midfield. Kirk then apparently had a go at Davis, who then won the game off his own boot.
A lot was made about Davis losing his man through the midfield, as if he had just sat on his arse and let him run off. I noticed in a recent interview that Davis mentioned Kirk blowing him up and I detected the first bit of a little frustration in what Davis was saying, up until now he seems to have toed the company line a bit and just grinned and beared it... Am I the only one that sees/saw the following when watching the incident?
* Davis is following his man through the midfield, he is a few strides behind his man as he had been making position himself only moments before
* Davis calls to LRT (who is further downfield) to follow Davis' man into the forward line whilst Davis holds up LRT's man, who has gotten away from LRT and marked in the midfield
* LRT looks very confused and just goes to stand next to Davis on the mark
* LRT's man finds Davis' man all alone (who then goals)
