OK. My point is Essendon's pressure didn't exactly dry up after 1/4 time, but Ted did a better job than Leo. But no-one seems to want to acknowledge that.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

It didn't - Essendon's pressure all night was one of the most impressive aspects of their performance. But after quarter time the Swans at least started applying some of their own, which meant the ball wasn't going into the Bombers F50 so quickly or cleanly.

I'm not trying to take away from Richards. He did OK - though Lloyd did land up as the top possession winner on the night. Still not convinced whether he'd have done any better than Leo in the first 20 minutes or so.

No worries. I thought Ted played pretty well. I don't think he would have had much of an impact on Lloyd in qtr 1 though.

I should have waited, replied with quote and just said "I concur".

I think Richards would have been better on Lloyd from the start.

I thought Ted had a great first competitive game. He never looked overly concerned with Lloyd - pretty impressive having just seen him kick 6 on Leo in one quarter!
