    Carlton's Marc Murphy is the NAB AFL Rising Star nominee for round one.

    While the Blues celebrated the 250-game milestone for skipper Anthony Koutoufides and a victory over Melbourne, Carlton fans would have been impressed by the 18-year-old's AFL debut where he gathered 17 possessions and kicked a goal in the first quarter.
    Congrats Marc, he played a great game and deserved this weeks rising star. Keep up the good work Murphy

      He was picked #1 in the draft so you have to have high expectations for him, and if he continues the way he played in round 1 for the rest of the season he might just win the Rising Star Award.

          Dale Thomas must have been a tad unlucky. Started well at least, tho, like plenty of his team mates, he faded fast. Didn't see as much of Murphy's game however.
