I enjoyed this show a bunch - gave an excellent context for 2005 & still managed to grasp the passion, especially over those final weeks. These sorts of things can be real hit & miss but I thought this was an excellent summary of what it felt like & what the club had to go thru to win a flag last year.

I note that Neil Cordy had a writing/production credit so it no doubt helped to have someone who had lived thru the Swans experience backing the show.

He has a few mates in that regard. That was the thing that I couldn't work out last year. That everybody was thinking that Roos was wanting the team to play they way they were playing rather than realizing the obvious in my eyes that we were just playing crap pure and simple.

Roos strong reluctance to criticise the players in any way unfortunately perpuated that opinion, which is interesting in that, he has, albeit in a relatively soft manner, chosen to criticise the playing group a little more this year (individuals).

I just rang Ten melbourne to be informed that "Shake down the thunder" will be shown in Melb on Saturday 29th April at 2.00 pm.

yet they still couldn't get things right - how do you spell qualifying? (and how do you get it wrong twice) - although to be fair TEN also got SOS's name wrong on Seriously AFL.

Will be interesting to see the melbourne media take on this program. Felt to me to really underscore how the Swans seemed to be targeted by footy types down south, and overcame it to win.

I am a little surprised that they are going to show it down there as they seem very reluctant to mention too often to Victorians that our team is the SYDNEY swans (always referred to as bloods or south- I don't think this is a wrong description, just inbalanced).

I could understand how the Walls/Roos thing has gone on so long, as the hurt Roosy felt was obvious when he likened Walls' criticism as hearing it from his own father (coaching selfishly to finish finals only). Obviously Walls was a significant figure in Roosy's life who had taken a cheap pot shot that he didn't see coming....
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.

Oh! Get over it wheels! They have been the bloods for ages.

Maybe you should be getting used to it rather than asking people to forget about a hundred year tradition!!

They also described Andy D as "Cheif Exec Officer" - go figger. I guess attention to detail wasn't the show's strong point.
