Leave that to the medical staff to worry about! From what some ppl say on h ere they dont care what happens to crouch anyway as long as he looses the record!

Crouch must have played with injuries before, given that he's yet to miss a game. The question is not whether he has an injury, but whether it is a) an injury that is truly restricting him to the extent he's not better for the team than Moore, Schmidt or Spriggs and b) whether it is an injury that will benefit from rest.
              a) I could be wrong of course but given his performances thus far (and as I said earlier he has a few mates) it certainly appears to be restricting him and if that is the case, particularly given we are only Round 4 give him a rest and bring in someone that is much closer to 100%. b) is irrelevent, his selection should be based on how fit he is on gameday and whether his injury is restricting him to the extent that it is severly effecting his performance.

I have a suspicion that the Selection Committ. are placing too much faith in his recovery powers.

Crouchy is now officially a champ in my mind. He has bled in all kinds of ways for the club.

To suggest he's interested in the record is a croc. He gets paid whether he plays or watches it from the lounge with the legs up. If he was selfish, the easy thing to do would be to take the lounge option and cash the cheques.

He's not the most skillful, he won't get off the ground and nor will he drill a 50m bullet to Baz, but he works within his limitations. He's rarely ever been beaten by an opponent and more often than not, embarrasses superstar opponents.

The reason for his recovery powers are probably less to do with flesh and bone, but more to do with discipline and focus. His professional commitment to mate, club and us as fans is second to none in the AFL.

Yeah... but is he fit to play?

To be honest, I think Williams has been under-done lately as well. But like Crouch, to suggest that perhaps he should be forced to have a week off is taken as an insult. To all you Crouch lovers, wouldn't you rather see him fully fit and play out the season than see him carry an injury at the 70% level and not make the distance? It's as if your more concerned about him making that silly record than he is! There I said it!!

Now I can sit back and wait for the abuse.... Ahh.. I love the holidays.

Didn't you see him weave a beaut path in major traffic at the Dome on Saturday night? Carved up 4 Carlton players, showed some great finess.

I thought there was a match day payment for each of the Swans that plays a senior game.
Please correct me if I am wrong (like I had to ask!).

There are a couple of games a year where Crouch is one of our most important players. And this week against the Dee's playing on Davey is one of them.

If Davey fires and puts the pressure on our backs he is renowned for then we are in trouble.

Crouch even at 90% fitness must play this week. The only other match up for Davey I can see is Scheinder and that looks way to dangerous for my liking.

I agree. Not sure if anyone else has the pace to go with Davey.

We must not let setiment decide the issue on Crouch - if he is fit he is in in my book...but is he fully fit? Can we trust the coaching staff / selectors to get it right?
I'm tempted to say yes...but Chambers???
