Well Spida is probably more reliable than Doyle who is injured yet again!

It might just be the making of him - Sydney seems to be able to do that for some.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I feel Spida is doing a Aka - and playing up this for a bigger contract with Hawthorn.

If he isn't well I would be happy for him to come to Sydney it would help Jolly - because our other prospects are not good.
      Love those Swans

From the way Clarkson was talking on 'On the Couch' Everitt was quite keen on leaving for Sydney last year.

          That beard looks terrible.

I would love to have Spida. He's been one of my favourite AFL players for years and I think he would be great at Sydney and for Sydney.

Wouldn't put too much store in this. Unlike the Foxsports report, I was fairly convinced by Spida that he knew of no contract.

Love to see it happen tho.

I spoke to Spida at a trade show that he was attending as a guest just before the trade date cut off and he left me in no un certain terms that he wanted to play for Sydney but couldn't be sure a deal could be done to get him there.

Isn't there a back story where Spida approached the Swans last year when the Hawks woukld only offer him a 1 year contract and he wanted 3 years?

WLF the other night had Spida and the Ox as the panel. The Ox gave Spida quite a hard time about the rumour he has heard that Spida has already signed a contract with Sydney in 2007 for three years.

Spida replied that he didn't know anything about it.

I thought 3 years would be a long time for him.

The article is about Spida and Ox on WLF, Bas.

hence the fact no one knows anything about a contract. "What Cntract?"

I'd love to see Spida up here but wouldn't it be a band aid approach to our problem?

I would assume that last year during the legitimate trade talks a contract would have existed so that Everitt knew what he was being offered. That contract probably still exists and when the trade talks failed "next year" might have been mentioned or assumed. This would explain the rumours but I doubt if it would be considered a breach of trade rules.

If such a deal existed, its further reason for Hawthorn to drive a very hard bargain in trading.

Perhaps Roosy is planning on getting the first draft pick this year so that we can claim Spida without having to trade? Could explain our on-field performance?
