Yep, stepped straight back into it. Not only returning from injury but also his Father's death. He wouldnt have done much over summer thats for sure.

...dare I say it...Chambers can actually palm the ball.

McVeigh's trip was the worst decision the whole game!
The ump was in the perfect spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice game from Nick! (Only the one error... yup was a big one)
Some people say Football is a matter of life and death - I say it's a lot more important than that!

Very pleasing return to the side for Tiger and can only get better with match fitness.
Chambers actually looked vaguely useful today

He gets plenty of it, but never kicks it to any Swans' advantage. And ok, it shouldn't have got to that point, but it did. So he gets possession in D50 and hands it straight to them -- costing us a goal and the game. Not bloody good enough.

I actually didn't notice him turn the ball over before that. Also, I don't think he actually gave it straight to Johnstone - he handballed it and it was deflected. Yes, it was a poor effort, but it's not like he's the only player to have coughed it up under pressure. This is the hallmark of our game this year.

I'm also a bit sick of the crap excuse that we're 4 weeks behind or whatever. West Coast are currently 4-0, so it has nothing to do with training time. We simply have a very bad premiership hangover. One of the worst in the past 40 years at this stage.

How crap was O'Loughlin. I can hardly recall even sighting him.

J Bolton and Kirk really need to lift their games. Just very average midfielders at the moment.

Why, when the camera pans out, is LRT always 20m on his own?

I thought Chambers showed a bit more today, though perhaps it is better if the free kick in the Matthews(?) is not mentioned.

Yeah, as I said before - worst game Mick has played and even his goal just snuck in.

Kirk has been ordinary - he started well but faded. Bolton I though was Ok, didnt star but is more visible than Kirky.

Crouch is another who is well below his best. Craig Bolton is becoming our most consistent player and hardly makes a mistake.

Bolton had only 4 possessions to half time and was getting totally towelled up by McLean until he went off injured. Bolton was quite good in the last quarter getting a few centre breaks, but it was a case of too little too late.

                        All our midfielders are.

They're shutdown and hardball-get specialists. When Willo is out our skill-level goes down about 50%. Clean possession is a rarity right now -- esp. at clearances. And when we do get it, it's run-handball-run-handball-kick inside 50-turnover.

I'm so pissed-off atm. We so needed to win that one, and should've with all their injuries.

And now it's Geelong, a realy good team with so much motivation to kick our arse it's ridiculous. So we'll probably be 1-4 and staring right down the barrell.

                        @#$% !!

Haven't seen any mention of Buchanan..thought it was one of his best games.

Yeah, I thought Buchanan was very good.

For our best I would put:

                            C Bolton, Schneider, Buchanan

Perhaps include Jolly, Malceski and Kennelly if you wanted to increase numbers.

As Red said - that was a very ordinary loss. Against a side playing poorly, who lost 2 of their best before 1/2 time, and then another good player shortly after, at home, with close to our best 22 on the paddock. To make a run late in the 3rd term and not continue over he top of them is very disappointing.

Much as I have maligned him of late, Crouch was ok.
                              Where is Kirk?
Goodes is goin ok but needs to take a game by the scruff of the neck now and again.

Nick did his hamstring on his 1 billionth ignored lead for the match.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
