Agree with the trenches and battlefield stuff, bit tacky.I really thought nine did a good job elsewhere with the little doco like snipets. Then again compared with anything seven used to do and what ten currently does they wouldnt have to try very hard to beat it. i dont mind John Williamson singing Waltzing Matilda either. No better sound than him starting the crowd off at the the union matches before he trails off and lets the crowd roar the song. One thing about Aussie rules crowds is that we certainly dont sing the anthem and waltzing with as much enthusiasm as our rugby counterparts. Its improving but not quite there yet.

Speak for yourself on the anthem, that's not my experience, but I will not sing Waltzing Matilda! It's a stupid song and hearing John Williamson singing it through his nasal cavities only makes it worse. Although I can cope with him singing True Blue...just.
