Not if he is going to resort to bitch slapping - he is past his prime now, opponents have worked him out, are beating him at his own game, and he's not happy about it.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

No coinsidence that this comes up, the same time Aker is up for contract renewal.
In the past he could back up what he said off field, this season has been decidely average for Aker.
A case of one season to many??

Maybe a case of the team not paving the way for him as it used to. A bit like the way the Weagles clear the deck for Judd.

Last year even I would've said yes in a beat. This year, he's looking less maverick & more rogue. Yet to be convinced - think there may be better things on offer.

Interesting to note that even after the bitch-slapping episode(s), Aka was still being chummy to Crouch - as if to say, "It's nothing personal Crouchy - I'd still luv to play for your team!"

            He's hardly ready for retirement.

And as for the no DH rule, if that was strictly enforced we would never have taken Lockett or Hall.

I wonder if he would get on with Crouch, besides that i think he would be great if he could settle down & act like an AFL footballer.

                  NO WAY!!!!!!!!

he is a disruption to the team, and doesnt fit in with the swans philosophy of not having any @@@@heads on our team.

                    Why did we recruit Hall?

Good point but Aker is a showpony (albeit a pretty good one) where as Baz was a bit of a rebel - deep down he has turned into a bit of more rounded person and can cope without being in the limelight - Aker seems to just attract it because he is Aker.

The move to Sydney has been great for Baz - I dont know if it would do the same for Aker.

No one knew what it would do for Hall (or for Lockett for that matter). General consensus was they were both dheads before coming to the Swans.

Maybe the club see's a @@@@head with the potential to change and recruits accordingly? Perhaps Akers is beyond help!

Obviously the no DH rule came in after we recruited the St Kilda duo!

I'd take Aker if he came cheap, but I wouldn't trade our first round pick for him.

Re: Lockett being a @@@@head. I suspect Lockett was recruited before the policy was introduced (we recruited Heuskes around the same time).
