His disposals are so crap due to the fact his sore hands from bitch slapping under the packs where no one can see him do it. Problem is he hits his own team mates most of the time unlike his disposal.

I see Voss said he was dropped for his inability to meet team disciplines, standard and expectations,. He also said form, but I thought there were plenty of Lions played worse than Aker. If Aker can?t meet Brisbanes NRC rule he?d have Buckleys and none of meeting ours.

                  Roos Hush Hush over Aker.

"Roos admitted if veteran Paul Williams retires at the end of this season, the Swans would be interested in another midfielder, with a preference for a young midfielder."

Another young midfielder to add to our gazillion.

I would think Aker would be a terrible pick up. Go for youth I say.

We have plenty of youth. We need some experienced quality in the midfield.

Two years ago I would of been all for picking Aker up, but not anymore. We we now have plenty of midfielders of his size (under the 180cm mark) coming though (Moore, Schmidt, and Willoughby), while with Malceski and McVeigh (both around the 185cm+ mark) coming though into the senior squad at the same time, leave us with little depth in the tall midfielder department except for the kids we took in last years draft and those kids shouldn't be expected to step up to real high quality until late 2007, early 2008.

At all costs I want us to keep hold of our first two picks in this years draft and use them to a) get a tall midfielder and b) a key position player. The excuse that Aker could be the difference between us winning premierships in 2007 and 2008 is wrong, because at the end of the day we already have the squad to win a premiership and we already are improving to it with the adding to it by just a few young kids with talent who'll will go far and by the looks of thing we have a few also waiting back in Canberra for the call up. We have the depth needed for premiership runs in the next three seasons, its after that when short-term decisions will cost us and its then as a club we MUST be look towards with one eye.

I question the fact that Aker is the "experienced quality" we would need if that was the case and in anycase I would question what it would cost us as a club in terms of draft picks in this upcoming draft of all drafts.

Will make it that much cheaper to pick him up at the end of the year.

I don't want him - the cost would be too high and I'd be worried about the potential for destabilisation.
If they take him I hope they put a performance clause in his contract, for on AND off the field.
                                And make Crouch his mentor.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
