He was good in last weekend's U17 match against GWS. But I thought there was a combined Swans/Giants U17 team playing this weekend against a Vic outfit. He'd be close to first picked for that. Maybe it's not this weekend.

Edit: I've just checked, and the next U17 game isn't until next weekend.

I see that all four of our U18 academy prospects are missing from the VFL side. Do they have other commitments? Is there a limit on how many VFL games U18s can play? I can't imagine they've been omitted for form/talent given who has come into the team.

It was actually an entertaining game. I'm not sure I totally agree with the assessment that the Swans went to sleep in the third quarter. We did as much attacking as the Giants, but just couldn't convert. I thought most players made some good contributions and most had moments they would rather have back. Bice was prominent in defence and probably as much of the conductor as Fox was (notwithstanding that Fox had a reasonable game too).

I do enjoy these commentators commentating on Ladhams, always entertaining.

And a question for the VFL boffs - does anyone know where BOC is this season? Is he still with the Giants (but injured today) or has he moved on to different pastures?
BOC left the Giants last year. Last I saw he was playing in the Sydney local league. Manly I think.

Will plan to play 1qtr as a Sub

Should have been 10 blokes ahead of him

    FT: Swans win 11.5 - 14.15
Good win in the end, Giants very competitive in the second half.
I've not seen Mcnamara play before and am very impressed - sound all round skills, a bigger body and a good kick for goal.

28 point win is nice. I have never seen Florent play with such aggression. Ladhams dominated the ruck, Dattoli has some special skills. The academy boys all played good games. Something to look forward to in 2026.

That's better, a couple of strong marks from King and Ladhams, then a long bouncing goal to Dattoli

Probably let GWS back into the game with a few sloppy midfield turnovers and missing some set shots. Plus it didn't help, that Ladhams got in the way of what would've been an excellent King goal.

Still, I think we'll steady in the final quarter and win.
