Not great news, that’s for sure. Caiden Cleary looks like his banishment will be over, and Sheldrick gets another reprieve.

Another setback to Mills. I think its time to give up the captaincy. Not a god feel that your team captain is never on the field.

Logan will come back through reserves. I’ll be interested to see where he plays. Apparently they were keen to trial him down back during preseason - more as an option to add flexibility and recognising his kicking skills are pure.

              2 rucks
              2 tall Fwds
              2 tall backs

Logan and Melican out of top side atm, id say Hamling goes for Melican but not sure what happens when Logan is available

Is it just me or does our medical team consistently understate our Injury time frames

I know some injuries are wait and see, but these guys are always proven wrong with timelines

These foot injuries to players are at plague proportions. The slippers they wear give no support to the foot and the knee. The leather, if you can call it that, is so thin that a player getting stood on has no chance.

We have the worst injury list in terms of best 22 missing & their lengths out. This is going under the radar by the media imo. If this was a big Vic team it would be greatly highlighted. It will take some effort just to make finals if our injury list doesn't improve.

I imagine the club will look to review our injury management, which Dean Cox hinted at during his presser yesterday.

Given our injury list and what happened in GF, I'm not stressing about this season. More interested in development of new players and evolvement of contested game plan. If we come good later in the season and make finals, I see it as a bonus. Mostly a very even competition now.

We are getting smashed pillar to post so far this season on injuries Not a bad year for it to happen in I guess - as 2025 was always going to be a challenge given what happened on Grand Final day last year, and a change in coach.

Feels like a season though where we just need to grind our way through the first half of it, hope to turn in a decent spot where we are within touching distance of the top 4/top 8 and hope to come home with a wet sail. Need to be finding a way to win games like tomorrow against the Roos however - can't drop games like it if we want to be any hope.

Something I've noticed is Sydney's been getting a lot of foot, ankle and lower leg injuries this year. The setbacks we've seen with recovery usually involve the same kind of injury.

I've been wondering, could their brand of football boots have anything at all to do with this? Have the players switched to a different brand of boot this year that could possibly have caused this spate of leg injuries?

A few injuries are unlikely to be caused by boots. Gulden's fibia fracture can probably be ruled out. But other injuries like stress fractures? I don't know. Can anyone shed some light on this?
