It only just occurred to me to start this thread, when I turned on the Carlton v Richmond game and Richmond are actually in front. An upset would be fun.

I've been enjoying the meltdown on the Carlton bigfooty board. I suspect that it's about to really kick off.Comment

Great win by the Tiger Cubs. The Baggers didn't really look that flash after half time. I seem to remember a match last year where they got us too. So, don't smirk too much we could be got again if the play like that.Comment

Here are the number of players currently unavailable for each club, mostly injuries. Preseason this year has been carnage for some clubs while others were much more fortunate.
Adelaide: 2 (1 season)
Brisbane: 5
Carlton: 12 (1 season)
Collingwood: 10 (3 test)
Essendon: 7
Fremantle: 9 (1 season, 5 test)
Geelong: 6
Gold Coast: 4
GWS Giants: 13 (1 test)
Hawthorn: 5
Melbourne: 9 (2 season, 1 test)
North Melbourne: 4
Port Adelaide: 5 (1 test)
Richmond: 9 (1 test)
St Kilda: 9
Sydney: 14 (3 test: Ned Bowman, Will Edwards, Patrick Snell)
West Coast: 7 (1 season, 1 test)
Western Bulldogs: 11 (4 test)
Sydney's list of unavailable players is currently the longest. Somehow I'm not optimistic about our chances against Brisbane.

Bit pathetic. Surely someone at the club should be brave enough to face up to a few angry fans?Comment

Suns making a mess of the Eagles. Matt Rowell seems to have lost a little bit of weight and gained a fair bit of speed. It'll be interesting to see how big a star he becomes this season.Comment

Inspired by the debut of Sam Lalor for Richmond, the writers on the AFL site, have come up with an article on each club's best debut performance this century. I scrolled down to our section, expecting to see Errol, but no, it was someone who I'd totally forgotten.
