Without giving it away, I thought it might've been Isaac Heeney against Essendon in that come from behind win in the wet, R1 2015?

But alas i'd also forgotten this particular debut performance. which I had attended!

I listened to a podcast where Fitzgerald was the guest and the management of his injuries was so amateurish.

He developed bad groins, but they insisted on continuing to play him and train him through it - rather than the approach they'd take today.

Even when he eventually recovered to a degree, he'd lost the pure explosion he needed to be competitive, given he wasn't bulky. And he never got it back. There was no malice in it, just the way it was done in those. days.

The only reason we play three Friday Night games in the first round is because we play Hawks, Pies and Carlton. We do not play any other side on Fridays and haven't for a long time. Only Richmond when they were top. Never Crows, Eagles, Freo, Port, Brisbane, even when we both are top 8, Suns or GWS, same applies as applied to Lions. This is so blatantly a Victorian bias. The Swans actually rate very well on TV.
