Hope so Liz. That made our game last year but when our key players were covered or a bit below par, we allowed the opposition to wrench momentum. Of course it’s very hard to keep the other team down for most of the match but this is where we need the contribution from all our lads- and silly mistakes need to be ironed out!

So swans lose by four points and receive 4 votes out of the possible 30 in the coaches award and those votes going to JJ. Since Cox described his game as phenomenal, it would seem Fagan must’ve seen little in the red and white that impressed him. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

That one when I think it was Campbell (?) was free in oodles of space in the goal square and he went for a showy goal from 45 out on a challenging angle was a coach killer. I get its going to be part of his game and will happen, but it was a big wasted opportunity in the context of the game."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Totally agree. Three weeks for that is ridiculous. 1 week maybe.
Perhaps the most irritating thing, is that for that sort of action, there's usually not a free kick paid. I don't think a free was paid against McInerney? It's only when there's an accidental head clash or the shoulder slips up, that it becomes reportable; especially when the player picks up a concussion. That sort of bump is usually only penalised onfield when it's late, and almost always as a down field free, rather than a report; even if there's possibly a bit more malice clattering into an opponent late, than bumping them away from a contested ball.
So, it's a touch infuriating, when a player gets weeks, for an incident that the umpires don't consider to be worthy of a free.Comment

Fagan called the game "one of our greatest wins". How deluded.Comment

Agreed. He’s quoting losing Cameron before the game and Brendan McCarthy being injured as monster set backs. No different than us saying Gulden and Mills didn’t get up, not to mention anther half dozen other blokes! Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment
