Hayward may play a negating role on Combden, similar to what Ben Keays successfully achieved last Sunday. He drew Combden away from contests to limit his intercept marking and managed to kick couple goals himself.

North look very decent on paper. It will take sustained 4 quarter effort from us in order to win. They will fancy themselves, particularly with our injury list & the suspended McInenery. Luke Parker looking to make a statement. Nervous about this one, with the Pies next week.

Agreed- Norf will be hard to beat at Marvel. Pies looked very good last night against a weak Carlton, so we need to play 4 quarters from here on. I just hope our lads step up until some of our injured regulars come back-certainly the door is open like never before!

limiting Daniel's influence coming out of defence will also be important.

Wicks. if he was still playing the small defensive forward role, would be ideal but Cleary may get the gig

Undermanned, playing away against a developing and highly motivated team, with top end young talent. Just need to gut this one out. Time for a Heeney game.

Players who played the 2024 Grand Final who are missing from the current team:
Cunningham, Fox, Gulden, Melican, Papley: injured
            McDonald: VFL
            McInerney: suspended
Parker: traded (now playing for opponents)

Eight players total, seven of whom are still on the list but unavailable for various reasons. We would be doing well to win this one.

Good post but it highlights how dependent we were on him last year. Got us over the line in a number of games.

Adelaide went after Daniel last week and it was the worst I've seen him kick, Wicks a perfect match.

JJ to LDU, 2 rucks for Xerri with both of them rolling into defence only to clog up Larkey.
