Dacios gets the softest frees but Cleary blatant in the back not paid

We'd be right in it still somehow had we not missed some very gettable shots - 2 from Hayward, Lloyd with an easy miss. We can't afford it when its so hard to generate scoring shots.

Sheldrick is a real risk of being a bust if he can't fix up his kicking - its diabolically bad. He can get the pill in close but his kicking is awful.

The real difference is Collingwood clean, swans messy - that simple

Its nice not to have to put with BT - but there is a desperation from all in the commentary box to fill every space with noise. Daisy Pearce has really good stuff to say, but needs to learn to say it in about 1/3 of the words as well. Its an improvement without BT, but not much off a low base.

The only heads worth protecting in this game are clearly Daicos one. Was it Cleary that got cleaned up twice in about 3 seconds, yet 5 seconds later a marginal one at best was whistle straight to the lips because it was a Daicos.

We are trying hard, but our bottom handful tonight have let us down. And you can't afford to make as many elementary errors as we have had at crucial times against good teams. Feels like it'll be one of those seasons where we will beat plenty of average to poor teams, but not measure up against the best. Might be a different story when we get a few troops back later in the season, but need to ensure we are still in touching distance at that point of the season.

Our major problem in my opinion is we can't take a contested mark. Stats - 8 to them 1 to us - 1 contested mark in 3/4qtrs is @@@@.

Sheldrick was ok as the game went on. Grundy was ok but Cameron got so many frees - someone else got just as many as Cameron - no surprise who that was.

If we didnt have ANOTHER bloody bye in the VFL this weekend McDonald might be able to get some decent form. Stupid bloody draw - I think we have had 2 byes already!

Agree Daicos frees were BS just like

Not defending the high ball I to the 50, weal as p8ss, Hamling even had a run at it

It was Heeney or bust for much of that, why not throw Warner head to head with Daicos, Warner deep for extended periods was a waste

Dropping simple marks cost us, like early on in the year

Sydney really struggle with the deep quick entry, always get nervous when a side goes quick, even Ramps looked terrible at times

Yeah Rampe and Lloyd had poor nights but they have a lot of credit in the books. I would love to know how many goals that got from within 20M of the goals. Marks, roved snaps at goals cost us at least 5 I reckon.

Simply not good enough going forward tonight.

Started well enough, but after quarter time we never really looked like kicking a winning score.

Not helped by the braindead bomb it and hope too often, and then dropping too many marks we should have taken. Our structures certainly were not helped when Amartey went off, but Collingwood were just too clean and controlled and we gave them far too much time too often at the fall of the ball - you can't give 3 or 4 goals like we did tonight from lazy defending.

We will be up and down this season I suspect, especially while we still have a lot of troops out. That we kept it relatively respectable was a sign that we aren't too far away, but we also conceded a lot of scoring shots as well.
