And Nine reporting Mills will play reserves (which I think is sensible).
Team selection: round 10 v Carlton

The team will be announced in little under an hour, so the uncertainty won't last long. But I expect to see Amartey come straight back into the senior team, so long as he got through the training session. Cox seemed to imply he'd come back in when fit.Comment

Ladhams and Amartey in. Paton and McLean out.
Someone will make more sense of the plan for Hamling and Francis than me.Comment

How do you drop the guy ? If his fwd work is down it's because the coaches make him ruck, if his ruck work was down, its because he isnt a ruck
Stupid sh8t again with these coachesComment

McLean was a bit proppy after the GWS game, he may be in need of a break after trying to fulfil all his roles during a match. Otherwise Francis as a defensive forward engaging Weitering and Hamling back to defence. Despite everything, I feel a bit sorry for Francis. The guy is very athletic and can take a good mark, but he’s also the kind of bloke who can miss a goal from 1m out.Comment

I would have liked Adams for Lloyd as wellComment

Cox went out of his way to say that McLean is going back to the 2s to find consistency
I'm hoping a late change, nothing makes sense with this match committee
Understand if Hamling is going to Weitering, but Mclean blind folded is a better full time fwd than FrancisComment

Yes I thought it was not serious when they said McLean dropped and Hamling stays in the side, given how useless he was last week.It must be a case of resting him or discipline reasons.I be surprised if he plays more than 1/2 game in the seconds.Comment

You don't need a defensive tall fwd when you have 2 key fwds. Go head to head, back them in.
Negative loser mentality again.

Cox’s logic is that McLean needs to find consistency. Ok. He hasn’t been in the best form.
But if that’s the case, Ollie, Hayward - let alone Francis and Hamling - are in the same gun.
It’s a strange argument.

No sense, there isn't a world where we play Hamling and Francis (at least 1 of them obviously forward) ahead of Mclean
