To stay or not to stay - the Kennelly dilemma

I don't understand why is that such a dilemma? He's not the only child. If I'm not mistaken he's one of the youngest and I wouldn't think such sacrifice would be expected from him. He's more useful to his mum here in Sydney because he's probably earning more money than anyone else in his famility so from that perspective he can really look after her financially.

Maybe the family can move to Sydney and move into a nice handsome mansion in the eastern suburbs with the money he will be offered to stay.

Its a really hard one - because he is one if not the important clog in the team. Without him we look bare and exposed. It would be agreat lost for the swans but you cannot compare the lost he is feeling atm.

I would be happy if he could stay for another 2 years and then go home. But thats my selfish supporter side saying that, my humane side is go home and support your family Tadhg.

IMO it's not about his mum, it's about him.

Maybe right now he's thinking "For the last years of my dad's life, I was off working overseas. I wish I'd spent a bit more time with him" It's not about the dollars, I daresay he is smart enough to have ensured that he's invested wisely. The Swans "need" him, and his family in Ireland "need" him. I reckon they both need to take a backseat to what Tadhg HIMSELF "needs". It's his choice, and good luck to him.

The expression "unfinished business" can cut both ways. And if he's listening to his father, I'd say Tim would want him to make the very most of the opportunity that has been given to him.

He needs to take as much time to decide as he can. There is no reason why he has to have a contract finalised even halfway through the year. I'm sure the club would be willing to wait until October if it is what he needs to decide.

Time makes all the difference in a situation like this. An extra 5 months may not sound like long but it is, given that that's about the length of time that has so far elapsed since his father died.

Cartainly we had no-one in the team that seemed even remotely capable of fullfilling his role earlier this year.

But i think it would be easier for him to leave now, now that he has the Premiership Medallion around his neck. He has always said that wasn't going to stay here forever, and there may not be that much desire in him to make to to the top of a mountain he has already climbed.

I personally think his going to end up heading back home, the death of his father has hurt him too much & his family needs him there. I would love for him to stay onboard because he is vital to us but family comes before anything else.

None of us is Tadhg (to the best of my knowledge), so speculation is pointless. Lets leave him be: it's his decision, and I think he's earned the right to respectful distance as he makes it.
