Heeney Warner Gulden Blakey - all AA last year - nothing tonight. Heeney deserves a night off

          Well, Hamling's reputation is intact.

55 point turn around by the Giants . Pretty astonishing by them.

I imagine there will be some hand-wringing on here, but I think the Giants were just too good in that quarter. They got their heads up and we couldn't stop them. Losing Hamling hasn't helped, as we've had to shuffle our defensive match-ups, but that's not the main reason.

That was absolutely awful. Once momentum turned we've looked like witches hats. Grundy almost the only bloke that seemed to be able to get the ball. Giants very impressive, but couldn't get a more perfect quarter where good footy and luck came together - every bounce, every half kick, every shot at goal - when you get a run like that, you have to take advantage. Something we didn't do enough of in the first place.

On another note - I intensely dislike this trend of umpires thinking they have to make a decision when they are blindsided. Were a couple that quarter when there was no way they could see, so they guessed - and got the calls wildly wrong. If you can't see, don't guess you muppets and call play on.

"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

Yes, and Finn Callaghan played a hell of a quarter (and game), but a few repeat offenders got exposed that quarter. Starting with the skipper. He just hasn’t played enough footy, but awful.

The out of work actors that the AFL pays to turn up as crowd members dressed in orange have done a good job of projecting a facsimile of emotion. If the Giants win the flag it will cost the AFL a fortune to create the illusion of delighted fans at a premiership parade.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

Melican is a good second defender and the loss of Hamilkng hurts, Rampe need to retire the game is past him now, I think the team needs a mini refresh

Big call, but, I've seen enough of McInerney - hard when it suits him, fumbles, miskicks. I would see what we can get for him at the end of the year. He has stagnated last 2 years.

Easily my least favourite Swan. So floppy and loose and soft with the ball but then wants to be tough in the oppnents face to stir them. Turns it over all the time with his dinky kicks
