What a lovely way for Collingwood's season to end: Nick Daicos penalised for holding the ball.

      So good!

Time might be catching up with a few Pies players I think.

So it's a Grand Final between two teams who destroyed our team in recent Grand Finals. Has the potential to be a great contest I guess.

With Brisbane there, I'll watch the grand final. I may not have watched Geelong v Collingwood.

Daicos, will, of course, win the Brownlow.

I've turned this game off. Was enjoying it until Daicos started to umpire, then I lost interest.

Oh and Kayo/foxsports is unwatchable when Collingwood play- the commentators are just awful.
Dwayne Russell’s commentary in the second quarter was X-rated, and should be preceded by a warning. It was great hearing them whine after half time, though.

Seems a fair chance that Collingwood will be sliders next season. Currently they have 11 players aged over 30, and another 5 who will turn 30 next season, if they're still on their list. As this season went on, that aging list seemed to increasingly struggle. So, you'd think that there'll be a fair few retirements and delistings, while there should be a further decline in performance for some of those who do stay around.

And it looks like they'll have a hard time covering those losses. Daicos aside, there doesn't seem to be much young talent coming through. While they also don't have much in the way of draft picks. They've traded their first round pick, so they're left with just a late second rounder and a late third rounder, in a draft that’s considered to be pretty weak. And one of those picks might be earmarked for their F/S prospect, McGuane: although he appears to be slipping down draft boards. So, the rebuild might take some time.

I had a look at the Collingwood Big Footy PF thread to see how Pie fans reacted to the Jamie Elliot non-free kick. The incident was certainly mentioned but most posters on that forum agreed with you, deja.

Most posters were critical of the Collingwood performance, saying that one good quarter just wasn't good enough. They also were unhappy that Collingwood selected a few players that were underdone. They were very pessimistic, too, about the club's ability to re-jig it's ageing list and perform well in 2026.

Most posters admitted the better team won yesterday and felt that, even if they had won, Geelong would've smashed them next week.

Yes, I also had a look there and I was a little bit surprised by the relatively few meltdowns. Credit to them.
