Green was a late withdrawl after he fell down the stairs at the MCG and broke a bone in his foot. I hope he didn't spill his beer.

Ladhams has been given a two week suspension, for his high bump on Dear. Although that can be downgraded to one week, if he accepts the guilty verdict. Having just seen the incident, I really wouldn't recommend challenging.

It now looks like McLean will be getting plenty of ruck practice in our next VFL game. Although I wouldn't mind Podmore-Taylor also getting a go.

Mensa strikes again sadly. Not much left in the ruck cupboard.

Hopefully Ladhams will accept the one week ban on offer, because if the worst happened there is no one else with the current injury to Green. McLean was totally ineffective in the VFL game against Hawthorn when relieving Ladhams last week

Right now, the Sydney Swans VFL team sits on the bottom of the 22-team ladder, though having played only one game so far. Six teams remain without a win so far, all six having played one or two games. This week's opponent is Port Melbourne away this afternoon at 1 pm. Port Melbourne's form: 14-point win over Sandringham (5th, 2 wins and 1 loss) and an 8-point loss to Tasmania (1st and undefeated with three wins).

On Port's form, I am not optimistic about the result of today's game but you never know.

Since my previous attempts to post the team are still waiting for approval, I might as well have another go.

                        Ah, there we go. Success.

Nice to see Cootee making his debut and Bowman back in the team. Although it looks like Cunningham has flown to Perth as the emergency. Big chance for Podmore-Taylor, if he gets a significant amount of time in the ruck.

Interestingly, Port Melbourne almost have as many academy graduates as us, with: Rider, Lugsdin, Morrison and Hawkins.

Nice to be in front at quarter time, after being outplayed early. The marking of Snell became increasingly useful. Perhaps the highlight for us, was the move by Dattoli on the boundary to set up our first goal. I hope Podmore-Taylor comes back, as I thought he was doing well in the ruck.

Got to say most of the AFL listed players look miles off, with exception of Snell who has been outstanding - how hes not in the seniors is a crime (I honestly feel Rampe is keeping him out). Kylie looks athletic but his game sense needs work I think he will need some time to develop his craft.

Nice ball movement out of defence, though.
