    Round 7: the other games.

Might be a fun game tonight between Richmond and Melbourne. Richmond have got plenty of young talent, so they'll probably cause an upset or two during the season. However, their lengthy injury list suggests that it might not be tonight.

Perhaps the most interesting match of the round is Hawthorn v Gold Coast. Hawthorn have been in the better form, but are possibly a bit vulnerable, due to Sicily and Moore getting themselves suspended. While Gold Coast should be strengthened by Anderson and Ugle-Hagan. It'd be nice if Ugle-Hagan went well, if only to further spoil the weekend of Dogs fans.

The Anzac Day Collingwood and Essendon should also be closely fought. Collingwood have been pretty meh all season, while Essendon have recently improved to meh.

The round finishes in Canberra, with the 14th placed GWS, hosting the 5th placed North. The fact that GWS are $1.45 favourites, is probably a good indication of North's soft draw so far.

I don’t particularly like Essendon, but I’d love to see them frank their recent uplift by beating the Pies … mainly to reinforce to Collingwood fans they have a dark future ahead.

Mick Molloy sitting next to Ray Chamberlain in the crowd. I wonder how much tolerance Molloy will have, to being told why the free kick against Richmond was the correct decision?

I just love winning Thursday night games! You can sit back and enjoy the rest of the round content in the knowledge that you've already banked the 4 points!

There looks to be a few good match-ups and although I'd like to see Hawthorn falter and Carlton plunge deeper into trouble, I don't really mind how the other games turn out.

I'm just going to enjoy watching every other club chasing us!

        GO BLOODS!

Channel 7 commentators getting excited over Sam Cumming. What could possibly go wrong?

Gee Sam Lalor is going to be one hell of a player. Pure, clean, hard, smart and dangerous. He’s already their best player.

Makes me think of David King talking about the Bont last night.

There is a certain resemblance to Dustin Martin.

This is probably the lowest standard ANZAC Day MCG game we've seen for some time. Huge crowd as always watching a very boring game!

Yes, for most of that quarter, Essendon couldn't get it out of their half and Collingwood couldn't kick a goal.

We dodged a bullet when we missed out on Ben McKay a few years back, though we sensibly went nowhere near the Bombers’ money. He’s got to be the most uncompetitive player in the comp. Soft and useless.

Seems like the Essendon revival might be short-lived.

I'm still a bit better that North got pick 3 as compensation.

Have been thinking exactly the same thing.

I suspect that there might be a few Essendon fans, just a little bit unhappy, that the 38 year old Pendlebury has broken his all time possessions record.
