Bice needs to be told to beeline the player and the ball rather than be smart and anticipate the pass. Many times he reads the bounce of the ball wrongly and at times tries to anticipate the movement of the player and gets it wrong. His tackling is non existent. Just get a hard nose on top of your kicking.
If McCartin, Errol and Braeden and Cunningham are available and fit and firing I am not sure who will miss out.
    maybe Cootee, Melican, ?Bice ?Lloyd.
I think Braeden will find it difficult to come in.
I thought Bice was a bit soft and Cox made reference to the fact he is still learning. I don't think we will see much of Campbell this season unless we get a run of injuries late in the season. On one of the podcasts it was mentioned that we may see Errol sooner than expected as his recovery is coming along quicker than expected. McCartin is the missing piece at the moment.

The whole dynamic changes with Mccartin out and our defence is all about getting Blakey on the run.

For the most part we did that despite a few Shakey moments

Bice just needs to go first option, he only comes unstuck when he goes too cute

That was a very cool contest - and great live game day !!!!

I thought it brought so much atmosphere and energy - at the end of our seats. It felt like it could turn a u turn for a bit !

Melbourne have some smalls that are absolutely weapons and rebuilding well !

we brought it though - yep as my kids say ?

controlled the momentum shifts well by adjusting our defence and attack

i sense our players and coaching departments have a seriously strong sense of low pressure high pressure in defences but also in attack when to spread and when to go direct

i know these are simple metrics for us fans but the metres between right and wrong for every single player on the park is 0 ve 6pts when up an about

very enjoyable season so far despite a fair few players injuries and no Errol ?

I have to agree with you on Bice, but also acknowledge that he does get involved and will make errors due to the number of possessions. Another player who has similar traits is Ladhams. Having watched the VFL game he does the same thing.
Both players would be so much more effective if they followed your advice

Ill give Ladhams a cop out
He needs to be given the 2nd Ruck role and own it. 50% game time chop out ruck, nothing more.
He isnt going to be a #1 at Sydney

Him trying to do too much stems from being left in the 2s for long periods.

Also I agree with Bice, id prefer to be whinging about him mucking up as opposed to him not getting near it

Warner was the worst for turnover (bad on the weekend for it to) but it comes with the good of him taking it on

Yes , it was one of those magical days at the SCG
                - a hard fought, clean, freewheeling high scoring & entertaining
game of footy with exceptional skill levels from both teams.
Having watched the replay, everyone had a red hot go.

                M. Rosas has uncanny nouse where the ball will bob and
                what to do with it.

Brody drives himself to exhaustion, he needs
                a helping hand .
