    Swans chat Changes vs Geelong

Well, one that won't be happening. Rampe has a calf which, for an older fella, is the injury you dread. Gone till the bye effectively.

See the latest on the squad ahead of our Round 11 clash with Geelong. This Injury Update, presented by Castlereagh Imaging.

Bowman's mystery injury is apparently a calf injury and he's a test to return to the VFL team this week.

Losing Rampe to a calf strain for 4 weeks is not good, but it could be worse.

Slightly more encouraging is seeing all the "TBC" in the injury list replaced with actual times. Campbell is 8 weeks away and could be available for selection around the same time as Gulden. I'm still mystified by why Hetherton is listed as "6 months" rather than "season".

Wonder if it's related to Hetherton being a Cat B selection and club being denied a selection in the midseason draft by the AFL, under their current rules?

I'm expecting miminal changes, if any at all after learning of Rampe's injury.

Selectors may toy with in giving Snell his debut in place of Melican but doubt it, particularly against Geelong at the Cattery.

Co Warner or Clearly may also come under consideration to replace Cootee. Would like to see Dattoli get a call up soon, as i think he'll step up.

Amartey has gotten the marking and goal kicking yips of late. Maybe feeling pressure of his contract tug of war? McLean has that crash pack marking ability, which the current talls seem to lack.

            Team is out.
            In: Cleary, Hanily
            Out: Cunningham, Cootee (both omitted)

I quite like the idea of Cleary coming in. As long as he's played in his preferred role as an inside midfielder, he should give us a bit more grunt around the contests. And there's likely to be plenty of midfield contests.

                That caveat is important.

I guess my one curiosity is the salary cappers have a terrific fleet of small forwards and Cunningham had an obvious role there. Guess the coaches are seeing enough in his game to be happy to drop him.

It’s the part of their make up that worries me most as I reckon we’ve been poor at ground balls down back and wouldn’t be surprised if one of them gets off the leash.

Literally no chance he plays on ball
