    Amazing!

(Do you know how many of his games have been at the MCG? I'm too lazy to search for it myself!)

        Thank you!!

Adding MCG and Docklands games together, he's played 75% of his games in Melbourne.

I wonder if the Carlton resurgence is making Brad Scott nervous? Though of course, Carlton still have to get through the second half, don't they?

Giants were leading Brisbane by 6 pts at half time. They've now kicked 10 unanswered goals in the third quarter to lead the Lions by 66 !!!

                  Make that 11 unanswered goals.

                  Make that 12 unanswered goals.

                  Make that 13 unanswered goals.

                  Make that 14 unanswered goals.

Half time: Giants 59 Lions 53

                  3/4T Giants 145 Lions 56

Thought I'd watch a bit of the second half of GWS vs Brisbane - I cannot believe what I'm seeing!

GWS has set a new club record against the Lions with their highest scoring quarter ever. 11 goals so far and still time to play.

14.2 (86). Equal 8th highest scoring quarter ever.

23.7 (145). GWS' equal ninth highest score (and there's still a quarter to play). GWS highest score is 25.12 (162).

I was close to writing the Giants off for the season, because I thought that if they didn't win today, then they probably couldn't make the top 6, and I suspect that teams will only win premierships from the top 6 rather than the wildcard spots. Now I'm wondering if the Lions can recover from this sort of thrashing.

After a performance like this, the Giants might even crack the 10,000 mark at their next home game. Looks well short of that today. Though I suppose a high percentage of the Lions fans have already gone home.

That is some third quarter from GWS.

If my sums are correct, that's the largest increase in margin between Q2 and Q3 (+6 to +89 = +83) in the history of the game.

The previous being +74 which has happened twice.

                                Round 22 1971: half-time score South Melbourne 5.8.38, North Melbourne 2.3.15 (+23) went to third quarter score 17.12.114 to 2.5.17 (+97).

                                Round 22 1982: half-time score Footscray 6.4.40, Essendon 11.4.70 (+30) went to third quarter score 7.6.48 to 24.8.152 (+104).
