Very low intensity game but we must keep pushing. Not that there is anyone about to push in from the 2nds. Grundy back I guess. Whoever goes out will be unlucky.

Maybe Hanily out and Ladhams a crumbing unpredictable forward? lol

Now that Heeney has gone past Capper and Papley on the goalkicking list, the next target is Peter Bedford on 325.

Radio says it's a minor rolled ankle and that he'll probably play next week.

Solid win. It was Richmond's biggest loss at the SCG.

Sydney didn't run up the score in the last quarter but that's okay. I would have liked to see Curnow get 10 goals but 8 is a good return when other players were kicking bags of goals as well.

That just shows you how good Bedford was. He was super quick and a great kick.

Got plenty of touches in the second half once some of the intensity dropped off. For someone that is only playing his 3rd season of footy in total, he is doing remarkably well. And had some good moments in that second half - very, very raw but you can see there is a lot there to work with.

And he played in weaker sides and played less than 200 games. He was pure class and skill. My favourite all time Swan

And played cricket at a very high level. Not sure if Shield but defintely the level below.

It was a beautiful day at the footy today. Heeney was everywhere and he talked a lot, he encouraged the players, gave lots and lots of hand signals, and was organising everything on the field. He is a great player- and it looks like a really good captain too. So bonus. I thought the Harry did OK, Hanily seems a little bit unsure and slow, probably confidence thing, Cleary- I'm not sure if he's up to it. Anyway, it was a great opportunity for some of our younger players to have a go and a good win. Nice to see Charlie kick some great goals.

Bedford played plenty of Shield cricket. Even made a century IIRC

Don’t you love a good old fashioned flogging.

I guess the curious part of the Ladhams and McLean contributions today is what you do when Brodie returns. Ladhams is clearly an AFL level ruck and Hayden is clearly an AFL level forward, so if you want to play an extra tall? I’d probably lean to playing Hayden given Brodie loves churning out huge minutes and Hayden can do what he does ahead of the ball, but it’s a tough one.

Good to see Chad back on ball, McCartin keeps inching towards an AA, and that’s the best game of footy either Cleary or Hannily have played, albeit against crap oppposition.

As for Kyle, can’t believe some of the early crap on here. He was playing as a defender and didn’t get beaten once, then as his confidence lifted, got some ball. And that one two off half back when he then took off through the middle and delivered to Heeney was footy porn. If that’s what he’s doing when he’s raw as it comes, look out.
