Adelaide up by 4 goals to nil against West Coast after 11 minutes. Could be a shellacking."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

I haven't seen any of the game, but Melbourne flogging Hawthorn 86-9 at half time, is very pleasing to me. Which means we keep a ten point gap over third placed Hawthorn. It would also be handy if GWS could keep in front of Fremantle.Comment

Melbourne spanking Hawthorn is very pleasing to see.
GWS in front against Fremantle is even better, though Fremantle are more than capable of reducing scoreboard deficits. I did say in the Dogs' match thread that Fremantle were due for a loss. A Fremantle loss would be good."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Next week would be better.Melbourne spanking Hawthorn is very pleasing to see.

But the Hawks result is huge for our top two results. Hopefully it leaves massive mental scarring.Comment

Another academy graduate is about to make his AFL debut: Liam Puncher for Collingwood. He's a KPD, who after not being picked up in his draft year, went to Sturt in the SANFL, with Anderson and Giacometti. He then went to Woodville-West Torrens and did enough to be picked up in the midseason draft. Good luck to him.Comment

More than a "small" dent. The surprise loss took Fremantle's percentage from 148.2 to 141.6.
This puts Fremantle in range for Sydney to knock them off the top of the ladder. A 24-point win by Sydney over Fremantle would be enough."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Other games in this round:
Collingwood leads Gold Coast by 28 to 20 at quarter time. This match could go either way.
Richmond plays Carlton. Carlton are likely to extend their winning streak to seven. At the start of the week I would have said the streak stopped there because Carlton play Hawthorn next week. However, after Melbourne's first half pulverisation of Hawthorn, I'm not so sure. Carlton could have an eight-game winning streak after next week.
Essendon plays St Kilda tomorrow. I don't see Essendon winning that.
Final match is Port Adelaide versus North Melbourne. I think Port are doing some tanking to preserve their high draft pick, while trying not to be too obvious about it. If they beat North, they would climb the ladder if St Kilda lose. I doubt that would happen because it's likely that all three teams above Port all win this week. Nevertheless, I think North will win because they've been quite good this year."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment
