That free at the end of the 3rd quarter had 2016 umpire vibes.... shameful

That should be the final stake in coffin.

Apparently we were dumb to recruit Charlie and he’s a bust, according to the f-sticks in the Melb footy media

Yes, how much of their score is from the Umpires? 24 points so far? That's almost half their total...

Shout outs to Jordon - Bontempelli with only 19 touches and no real influence

I honestly thought that the Bulldogs were better than this.

Such an important win. No disrespect to any of them, to do so when you have Corey, Cleary, Hannily, Hamling and Kyle playing, that’s big for the season.

Cox deserves a lot of credit for tonight, starting with selection. He wanted pressure and intent and hunt, and got it. Encouraged us to use our kicking skills when needed, freed Mills up behind the ball, trusted Jordon with the Bont, used Hamling so well . . . He just got a lot right. Great coaching.

Special mention to Gus, Hayden and Roberts among our ‘lesser lights’. Roberts at his best in particular adds so much.

As for Will Edwards, not sure what to say anymore. He’s a beast and spoils everything. What a find.

Suck @@@@e Doggies. Don't care how good or bad we are, beating those cheating tools is always enjoyable.

We did a lot right tonight - and a nice chilled end to the game, saving some energy towards a big, big test next week.

Gosh if we can get Sheldrick up to playing 80% + he will be a real asset. HIs ball use still leaves a bit to be desired, but 26 touches in 64% game time. And we felt a lot better down back with both Rampe/Mills showing great leadership.

And well done Hamling - he just does the job when asked. Great to see him get a goal, shame noone barely celebrated with him!

So happy how he has grabbed his chance with both hands. He makes errors (or gets punished by dumb umpires sometimes) but he goes hard and goes again. Really like how hard he goes, and it is great to see the confidence building in him.

Yes, a very even performance and our pressure was generally very good.

And on Edwards: I'm now wondering if his approaching footsteps are just a bit heavier and louder than our other defenders, and over time, will that be a sound that opposition forwards will increasingly come to dread?

Good win. Did a lot right but the Bulldogs didn't offer much.
Every now and then Cleary, Corey Warner and Hanily showed they might be good footballers - just need more of that.
Our reliance on Rampe for defensive organisation is a worry. He can't have much left in the tank and we are a better team when he is out there.
