Yes, it's not quite right, when he goes so hard, and then the umpires decide to award a couple of frees against him, that were as soft as ice cream in the hot sun.

And on Edwards: I'm now wondering if his approaching footsteps are just a bit heavier and louder than our other defenders, and over time, will that be a sound that opposition forwards will increasingly come to dread?
Absolutely. Imagine being hit by him. He’s great at using his body to clear space too. Just a truck.

I think that free kick for Croft against Edwards was there….. so long as the rules are consistently applied in which case there will be 2,973,451 frees each week and the average game will take about 14 hours to get through.
FFS, the AFL is clearly doing its best to turn this game into an unwatchable farce.

Naughton seemed a bit spooked at times.

A great bounce back and win, however there were 2 really stupid incidents that could cost players time and money. 1. Blakey's tummy tap when it was totally unnecessary. Could easily have been reversed. 2. Errol's very dumb act on Weightman, when Weightman was bending over and defenceless, for a 50 metre penalty. That's close to a week. Hell boys, we're playing Freo next week.

The only outcome of that Blakey incident should be a fine for staging. I agree with the stupidity of the action, but fair dinkum that Dogs player was a goose.

And Errol's brain fart minute or so was a shocker. Not sure what was said or happened, but he is rarely riled up like that. Errol has been just okay since coming back (no issues with that - he will take time to find form like most players), but we don't need silly junk like that. Because at some point as you suggest Nico it could cost us very badly.
