Port or Dons - Which Loss Do You Rue The Most in 2006?
I'm with Liz and rue the loss to Melbourne more. We almost had it won and could also have easily drawn it. I also believe what Roos was saying in Rds 1 and 2 about the lack of preparation.

Strange that we lost to both Essendon and Port. Melbourne was just one that got away, and that's just footy.
We should keep in mind that Essendon has a 91% W/L at 16th, which is very close to the percentage we had last year over the first half of the season as we hovered around the edges of the 8. They are simply the unluckiest side in the comp at the moment by a mile.
Port is still capable of brilliance, and if they catch a team napping they can still be pretty devastating. In fact its a team that is very much in control of its own destiny (and mightily stuffing it up ost weekends).
Personally I dont rue any losses except for the last one of the season

No heart, they seem to give up too easily when behind early.

Probably the Port game. Essendon had Lloyd and were playing at home, while Port was missing Tredrea and playing at the SCG. And they not only beat us, they were giving us a good ole spanking.

Even so, I still cant bring myself to watch it (in the 5DVD set).

If we'd won it may have just been a 4 DVD set. Then maybe the box wouldnt be so jam packed.

Those losses may have been the wake up call we needed to start playing the great footy we are playing now. If we had scraped home in those two we may have been still playing rubbish footy and be no better that the 5-3 we are now.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

now you're venturing into the "realms of summising". Maybe we should be 1-7 right now to get a REAL wakeup call. Then we can win the next 15 games and finish in the top4 and win the flag again.
