Brent Guerra, Hawthorn, has been charged with a Level Four striking offence against Lewis Roberts-Thomson, Sydney, during the fourth quarter of the Round Nine match between Hawthorn and Sydney, played at the MCG on Saturday May 27, 2006.
His previous poor record means his penalty remains as a three-game sanction.
The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), high impact (three points), in play (no points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of seven activation points, which relates to a Level Four offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has a total of four matches suspended within the last three years, increasing his penalty by 30 per cent to 422.50 points and a four-game sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 316.88 points and a three-match sanction.
