Originally posted by Wardy Got a report from friends who took their 2 kids to the kids clinic on the weekend - they were so impressed with all the players - their daughter was in a group with one T Kennelly (incase I spell his name wrong and I get jumped on by the cranky pants spelling police). anyway - after their time had finished he got them to line up for autographs - he dropped his footy and it rolled off, young Rebecca went and fetched it for him and she said "here you are you dropped your football" his response, a big smile and "thank you but its your football now" - he has a new life long fan in young Bec.
Did he "dacks" her after that? He has a reputation you know.

That's a beautifuul name. But how is it pronounced? Is it like Tarkyn, or Tarkwin?
My kids are Jordan, Aeidan and Shae. Besides the fact that Jordan is a boy and Aeidan a girl (apparently this is not normal), we get a lot of "Shane?" with our youngest. And (sorry to all the 'Shanes' out there) I hate 'Shane'. It must be a Warnie thing.

That was the dilema I pointed out to my wife, no matter what ou call your kid, others will miss pronounce it. She wanted "Sara", I told her people will call her "Sarah", so what's the point. We ended settling on "Sarah". As it turned out she went Kindy with a "Sara", and guess what they were both pronounced "Sarah".

It's pronounced Tarkwin, he does get Tarkyn a bit but he now corrects people himself if they get it wrong. He loves the name, it has actually been kind of good in regards to teaching him to be polite, tolerant and stand up for himself; of course he will hate it once he hits high school.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
