Played on Grant the whole game.

    Grant 12 disposals (11k, 1h)
    Mathews 15 disp (9k, 6h)

Yes his disposals are crap, and his decision making is terrible, but he is still a very effective tagger. We have no other tagger to replace him with, and against teams like WC and Adelaide, he will be more valuable in than out.

I thought Ablett was on Grant when he went into the middle?

Mathews was moved into the forward line during the start of the 4th quarter to "tag" Archer, Archer still carved him up.

What the hell do you mean a fair go??! Hes not like Malceski or Mcveigh where he hasnt had enough games. He has been around for years, even captained u sin our Premiership year. But he is not worthy of wearing the jersey. He is a deadset goose. Cannot move it on quickly, cannot hit a target, cannot run... Hes a freakin dud!!

I would be a happy man if I NEVER saw him in the Red and White AGAIN
          - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

IMO he is now an experienced reserve, but we must start giving Vogels, Schmidt etc some game time to cover injuries running in, & to see if they can make it. I think Moore is never going to make it, & some of these others will develop the same mind set if not given a chance...ahead of someone like Ben & IMO Ted.

he has to improve if he is going to keep his spot, to be honest the swans are better without him, he's slow and decision making can be poor

Why do we need another tagger?

A mixture of Crouch, Ablett and Dempster is surely enough. Our other midfielders are good defensively without being taggers as is. Bring in Schmidt, Moore, Willoughby for the rest of the year.

o best team to play always. Cut losses (players$ or whatever the reason) for non-effective player.
o invest in better backup players asap to 1) cover future injuries, 2) expose backups to top level, 3) greater depth. A re the coaching panel feeling very proud of the fact they have the least changes (only 24-25 players so far? as at round 10) in the competition compared to other teams? This is false pride if they feel that way.
o give hope/incentive to the backup players. They dont have to be permanent replacement for present effective players who may need some nursing. Are the coaching panel reluctant to give backups the chance to play to avoid them being poached by other teams later (in case they show effectiveness?)?

                        I'll sign this petition.

Has anyone of his "experience" had so many turnovers as a result of ineffective kicking and handballing? He's a dud.

Did we all notice his limp wristed effort at the fall of the ball 30 metres from our goal in the last Q. Of all people Adam Simpson just took it away from him and he is not hardest player in close.

Also he was given a handpass in the midfield and although it wasnt on the chest, he just let it go through his legs, turned around with no second effort at all, and trotted to the pile of players on the ground.

Yep, he had more stats than Grant but we didnt miss him when he was out and we didnt lack a tagger then. Flick him I say.
