The question is did anyone miss him when he was out injured this year? We were fine without him in the team and I agree about blooding young players who can no doubt offer this team more.

I'll sign up for this one. I was SO frustrated with him today; far too many skill and decision errors. The team may have struggled today, but Matthews really stood out as our worst.

We have the most settled side in the comp at the moment, with the fewest changes. This is great to an extent, but we have to give some of the top youngsters a go.

The eski was blooded last year and has really developed in to a good player this year. We have to give Vogels & Schmidt a go before it's too late. I really wouldn't want them to have to come in to finals games without having got run-outs previously.

You don't change a side that has just won 6 in row. I can't believe that you would replace Benny with an untried player. Neither Vogels or Schmidt could play the defensive role that Ben does.Get off his back!

I was watching the game at a mates place who came to the game last week with me. He asked me at one stage why I didn't like Mathews, then Mathews answered the question for me beautifully by kicking it to a Roos player about 20 metres in the clear.

BTW Richard Davis, Ben Mathews has only been in the side for 2 of those 6 wins IIRC, we actually played much better without him in the side. One LRT, decision making wise, is enough in any team.

Roscoe...the point I was making about Moore is that he looked overwight last year, but did enough to suggest a future. He was said to have fined down, this year & if the skills are still there it seems he is not in the running.
Have you seen him play in the reserves?
I hope he gets another chance but am more concerned to see Vogels get a run because of our height prob.

It's a long time since September swantastic.

BTW I never said that LRT should be dropped, he gets better every game but still struggles to make a decision when he has a free kick or mark. On the run he is pretty good, but it doesn't stop me having my heart in my mouth every time he gets the ball.
